The Way to Grow Nursery School Difference
Way to Grow Nursery School is an ever-growing center located in the Maplewood Mall at Germantown, Philadelphia, PA, with students ranging in age from 2 to pre-K. We strive to accommodate Philadelphia families with quality, play-based and affordable learning. Way to Grow Nursery School was created by educator, Shirley Wardlaw, a long-time Germantown resident and proud co-creator (along with the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program) of the mural found on the side of the Way to Grow Nursery School. Teacher Shirley believes whole-heartedly in Jean Piaget’s statement, “Play is the work of childhood.” At Way to Grow Nursery School, Teacher Shirley strives to provide play-based learning aligned with the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood.
Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.
